2006 PINOT NOIR "VINTAGE SELECT"

We made 100 barrels of wine in 2006. After scrutinizing each and every barrel, we chose the top six and labeled them as our reserve line. It's exciting to us because we've never done this before. Reserve wines are not to be released every year. This is a truly special event that happens only with the most outstanding vintages. Our barrel selections focused on overall intensity from a deeply concentrated color to complex, layered structure and rich, opulent fruit. Firmly integrated tannins with a light acid finish create a balanced, expansive, velvety mouthfeel. This is an amazingly pure wine, loaded with fruit and combining the Pinot elegance with grace and persistence that will pay dividends for many years to come. Who knows??? We may or may not ever offer a reserve selection again. We're sure on this vintage though, and with the way our vineyard is progressing, we're hedging that more reserve wines will follow suit in years to come.
